CELTIC/HVMC SUZUKI PRIMED FOR SUPERSPORT SEASON OPENER AT DAYTONA WITH FARRIS AND ALEXANDER

March 12, 2014

Celtic/Hudson Valley Motorcycles Suzuki begins the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season at Daytona International Speedway - The World Center of Racing - with a new team structure that fields two proven riders in the SuperSport class. 2013 AMA SuperSport East Champion Corey Alexander leads the effort this weekend with several successful prior visits to Daytona, including a Pole Position and second place finish in 2012, and a third place finish in 2013. Wyatt Farris returns to Daytona for his second visit aboard a SuperSport machine on the famed banking. Farris enjoyed an eleventh and fourteenth place finish in SuperSport in 2013, and everyone looks forward to improved results this year.

Richie Alexander, Celtic/HVMC Suzuki Team Manager has worked hard over the off-season to create a new organization. New team members along with new sponsors have helped to bring Celtic/HVMC Suzuki forward. Richie Alexander stated enthusiastically that "we are excited for the first race at Daytona, and we are really looking forward to getting the 2014 season underway. The Celtic team has an all new team structure for 2014 that brings talented folks together for our goal of winning races! With the support from MJRS Freeman Racing and Jon Block Group we are all hopeful that Wyatt and Corey will find great success in 2014!"

2013 AMA SuperSport East Champion Corey Alexander has enjoyed good results at Daytona over the past several seasons, and with the limited 2014 schedule, he knows the pressure to perform is immediate. Corey explains that "after a long off season I'm thrilled to return to Daytona - one of my favorite tracks. I think my Celtic/HVMC Suzuki is the strongest machine I've had yet. We have a really great group of guys working just as hard as I am to get another number 1 plate this season! The grid is looking pretty stacked for SuperSport so I expect there will be some extremely tight racing this week. I'd like to thank all the team sponsors and my personal sponsors who have helped us to look good and run strong. Special thanks to MJRS Freeman Racing, Spidi Leathers, XPD Boots, Arai Helmets, Oakley, Defy All Odds Apparel, Boxed Water Is Better, and Crossfit OSA.  Follow me on my various social media outlets for day to day action! Wyatt Farris is adapting quickly to the new team and motorcycle he will be racing for 2014 with Celtic/HVMC Suzuki. Wyatt has ridden at Daytona previously, and this experience will help make the adjustment to the new team and the Suzuki GSX-R 600 easier. Farris is eager to get back in the saddle and get some laps on the track. Wyatt shares the passion of the team and said "I'm stoked to get the season started at Daytona this weekend! The whole Celtic/HVMC Suzuki crew have been working hard to make sure my equipment is ready to go. I can't thank all of our team sponsors enough, along with my personal sponsors that are making this season possible!" His personal sponsors include Jon Block Group, Cortech, Shoei, Above Category, and CT Racing.
